The half giant silently signals the awake watch to wake everyone quietly but quickly. He whispers to the sleeping and points "Unknowns just 'ported in the Criterion's length away..."
HurK pulls on his quick release clothing straps while unsheahing his ranged weapons and stuffing his light orb between his incisors and closing his lips.

A bluish-green light is seen within the end of bowshot distance somewhere off to the south and east. Vaguely oval, it lasts for about four breathes before shrinking upon itself. It is about a human thumb's size from this distance before it fades.
Laahk awakes. He feels as if he's being watched. Kleys, HurK & Kri-kcht are all awake at this point.
With everyone awake, Laakh attempts to 1) boot the observation with a Psychic Contest:
Rolled natural 1.
Next.
2) Clairvoyance on last known position of bluegreen light, ready with crossbow.

HurK briefly pulls the light orb from his mouth in his closed fist so he can speak to the group quietly: "That was too easy to spot, I don't like it. Mak or Pallia get our banner ready. Laakh, get Life Detection and Danger sense going. Yiska and Kleys I need your night sight, come with me to check out the flanks..." HurK nods towards the east side of a worn rock formation while putting the orb back between his incisors. "The rest of you prepare for a frontal assault..."He moves away from the firelight into the shadows then concentrates on becoming a matte jet black 36' B'rohg holding his four items (greatsword, Zerka, Datchi and his Odd Talismans ring) while wearing his sandals. After being woken up, Mak quickly encants a spell on himself and wakes his Pterrax.

Pallia coughs several times as she awakens, then pushes herself to her feet and scrambles to grab the banner as directed. It's clear that the dark has disoriented her.

Kleys will ready his bow, loosen his Longsword and go with Yiska and HurK. He attempts to glide along like a Shadow in the night (Move Silently 57%: rolled 96, Hide 57%: rolled 63....ugh)
Quietly, in common: "Perhaps Yiska, we should move far enough from HurK to better surprise our quarry?" (OoC: elves get a -4 bonus to Surprise if in a purely elven group - doesn't say how far they must be away, I'd imagine 25-30 feet should do it, but DM's call).

- Kem moves quietly towards the rear of the party, wrist razors ready, in an attempt to look and discern if any other figure is around. The combats in the Arena reached her that anything is valid in a fight, and here there are no limits.

I was asked for a map. But it's dark - 3 AM-ish. The portal hit right at the border of badlands and ever diminishing scrub. Behind it? Dangerous broken earth and pocket ravines.
