Dropping his see magic power, Jet Black HurK places his weapons at his feet "Kri-kcht, Laakh and Mak, get on my back. We're following your Pterrax. The rest of you run after us and follow those that can see at night..."
HurK crouches down and turns into a massive 36' black bat while grabbing his items with his feet. Once the three are onboard he launches into the air and races after the Pterrax, emitting high pitch squeaks as he goes to echolocate what's before them.

Mak calls out to the Crodlu to give chase following after the Pterrax while mounting the giant bat version of Hurk. "The Pterrax tracks 2 flying creatures, due north, about 100 yards out." While the group is still mostly together Mak will begin chanting a blessing over them all.

Depends. Does Hurk or Mak have a light source out? Your choice. I know Hurk had one, but that was before morphing.

HurK gave his clay light orb to Kri to hold when we got to the wormhole location (who is now on HurK's back).

Then no. Outside of North, there’s no way to easily see the two once they get to an equal altitude. That is unless a psion has a way to keep tabs.

That being said, the unseen flyers stop maintaining a beeline and begin to veer right (east) ...the pterrax adjusts. The wind is now a bit more to your back. You don’t feel like you’re gaining at this current pace? But not seeing your query makes that hard to judge.

After finishing the blessing, Mak reaches into his pouch and removes the light stone, holding it behind his back before he opens his fingers to direct the light behind him towards his allies.

Mentally he tells his Pterrax to push for maximum speed, try to see more details about the flying creatures or their riders.
