Mak will cover the group's need for food and water. If the thri-kreen agrees to a joint hunt he will activate his amulet before doing so.

On the hunt Mak will keep his eye peeled for any signs of wyvern lairs.

I saw few with your abilities in the Arena but none proficient with the singing sticks - The gladiatrix search in her backpack and pulls out an obvious set of opaque wooden sticks, a bit wider along the far end - I have another set for me that might suit you Yishka - Looking at her this time - If I don't make it to return back to Bodach

(Kleys taught everyone who participated at Bodache the Teaching NWP. Unless Mak was doing something else, there's no real reason he wouldn’t know that skill now. Unless you/he doesn't want to).

((Mak didn't have a spare NWP slot at the time Kleys was teaching everyone. I just re-read the NWP houserules. Bob, are we playing where we can exceed the NWP slots through using the Teaching NWP? I must have missed that the first time around if that's the case.))

This is all kosher. I have no issue doing slight retcons in the sake of having the characters up and running. While I originally was just asking for heat protection, tracking or other proficiency usage? I will mark today day one of any training, theory and discussion. Due to the nature of the environment? There might be some modifiers to herbalism, etc... I'll let you know when we roll. Just do me a favor and list in the out of character thread what one skill you wish to focus on.

The evening passes somewhat uneventfully.

The noise is almost unbearable. The howls of the wind begin to sound like all manner of screaming monsters or dark things that go bump in the night. The eerie glow of the sands cast strange, alien shadows as well.

If it weren't for the magics that provided rest? You'd sure feel worse than you do now... and that's not that great. It's also very, very hard for you to have verbal conversation. The psions find it easier to mindlink and converse and relay. But it isn't like there's much to do as you march and provide yourselves nourishment.

The following day, I need to know if Mak decides to branch off and find a mount... and how he plans on finding the group if he does so.

On another note: There are no wyverns lairing here. Mak believes that they range further to the north. They are somewhat less common towards the northern end of the Ringing Mountains which lie closer to his guarded lands.
