- Kem makes her watch in the same order without any problem and at the time that Kleys teaches to Mak - That's interesting, sounds into paper? What is that for? A new kind of carving technique?' - Asks curiously to both - There are so many things outside the Arena to see, as danger can be found inside and outside their boundaries
[OOC: Kem still offers the singing sticks to Kleys]

"Mak speaking with Kleys, "I know the flora well and can help you learn what is edible and what is poisonous. In exchange perhaps you could spend some time teaching me the ways of placing sounds on paper? Even in the upper echelons of my society, our ways are handed down orally and few retain the skills of rune-work."
"Of course. I will teach you the magic of 'reading', and then you too can steal the power for yourself!"
(OoC: And he'll teach Reading to anyone else who wants it.)

For the time being, Mak will stay with the group. The only times he "splits off" is with the Kreen to occasionally hunt at night while the others sleep. He will keep an eye out for any dens of creatures as they travel that he may wish to investigate. "We'll find a flying mount when we find it."
The next day he wads up some linen fibers cut from his Balican sash and sticks them in his ears to travel. Enough to dull the roar of the wind but not enough to render himself completely deaf. He'll be mindful to keep his head on a swivel to make sure he's not missing anything while his hearing is impaired. He'll also swap out of his fancy balican attire and once again don the feral hides of the Ringing Mountain Halfling tribes.

- Thinking about training and combat, as it will be an inminent one, Kem asks - Not sure how well protected the one we will be facing up is but if I'm as lucky as in our last encounter, could it be possible for me to handle and use the club you talked about a while ago? - in reference to the conversations held in place back outside of Bodach

The following day is much the same.
Red Sun.
Olive sky.
White sand.
Sometime after your lunch stop and wiping of brows... you happen upon two tiny, squat figures crouched upon the sand in the distance. Imagine two men playing dice, hunched over and paying you no attention in the shimmering heat.
They are perhaps a quarter mile away at your initial observation. Hard to make out any more detail.

Laahk sees a pair of human travelers, one man and one woman, squatting about a small hole. There seems to be a few tools next to them... wooden tongs, a small wicker cage with a rock on top to prevent it from blowing over. They wear light brown leather jerkins, leather pants and matching boots, slightly too warm for the day. The woman's black hair is tied back. The man has silvery long hair and peppered beard. As far as weapons? They have small blades in sheathes and what looks to be long blowguns at their back.
They poke about in the hole. Was that a forked stick? You can see some sort of small movement in the hole, but they crouch too close to get a proper look from your current angle.
There's evidence of a camp a bit further away, a single low tent lies at the other end of a star dune - probably as a windbreak. No mounts are seen.
How long would you like to watch? So far they have done no talking.

When Laakh describes what he sees <Nomads hunting some burrowing creature no doubt. Maybe we can trade information for goods?>
ScorpiorK continues his N.E. pace, but not directly at the duo though so as to lessen any surprise and alarm.

- Kem nods with Laahk's suggestion - 'How could they miss such group?' - Thinks at the same time
[OOC: Which terrain are we now in Bob?]

Mak readies the white flag used at Bodach. Once within line of sight he will begin waiving it peacefully back and forth. Once within ear-shot he will yell an offer, "Trade?!!!! TRADE?!!!" in the common tongue.

Earshot is a lot closer than you'd think. I'll work under the assumption that Hurk stays back. Kem? It's white sands and low dunes from here to the line of your sight in every compass point. Currently, it's early to mid afternoon. And ripping hot.
The man rises and smiles. He waves. The woman rises, munching on something. She's a tad shorter and wider based than the older male.
"HELLO! WE MEAN YOU NO HARM, WE ARE BUT TWO HUMBLE RESEARCHERS! I AM REEVROM OF URIK! THIS IS MY ASSISTANT, THE LADY DAY! WE ALSO HAVE LITTLE TO TRADE, SADLY!"
The woman merely nods in consent, chewing.
