Round 4: Combat vs Dhojakt/templaress/cilops
The massive Son of the Shadowking is stunned by Laahk's mental lashing... his shoulders slump a bit. The next overhand attack is foiled.
The pterrax takes the opportunity to savage the upper parts of the giant half man, ripping into neck and face. Dark blood is finally seen.
Kem manages a solid blow against his lower, snake-like lower body. His frame shudders a tad. Odd for such a light weapon. Yiska manages a solid chop as well, cutting into the opposing side and chopping off a few tiny legs.
Kri-kcht is incensed with anger, having been walloped as hard as he was... and his blows seem to actually be cutting through whatever defenses were once in effect.
Hurk changes.
The light burns his small dim eyes and he instinctively shuts them. The sun *burns* on his light, albino flesh. He screams in pain as he attacks to grapple the enemy...
...pushing all of the others out of melee, sans the pterrax, who now disengages and takes to the sky, startled by the sudden appearance of a silt horror.
***
Meanwhile, the templaress charges only to be struck solidly (10 damage!) by a pair of magical blasts. Bloodflies manifest and attack her face and hair as well. Screaming, she kicks the cilops in the flank and she begins to tear off to the south and east... calling off an attack that might have been plain suicide. Abez begins to switch to his bow as he finds his courage.
[Currently waiting on damage from the pterrax and a few rolls from Hurk. He'll remain standing/stunned for this round for sure... and possibly longer.]

We're at an interesting point here.
Given Dhokjakt's prone, stunned condition, Hurk will be able to knock him out by the third round of grappling. Kri-kcht, the pterrax, Kem and Yiska will struggle to get any hits in as long as Hurk continues to choke Nibenay's blood out.
This leaves the fleeing templaress - who is closer to the casters and Abez.
ESP is not going to net much, as the Son of Nibenay is brain-fried and otherwise occupied...
...and is still susceptible to another id insinuation as long as Laahk has PSPs.
So I guess my question is...?
Do you wish to kill Dhojakt or render him unconscious? Discuss.

Seeing Dhojakt fall, Mak releases concentration on his Smoke Ghost spell, leaving the vaguely humanoid cloud hovering over the grappled tangle that is Hurk/Dhojakt. Looking at the templar attempt escape, a sadistic grin crosses the halfling's face. "Not today Templar." With a wave of his hands, Mak encants a spell of control over the Cilops ridden by the templar.
((Control Giant Insect, Lv 4, Priest Spell Compendium, save vs spell or cilops dominated for 18 minutes. Assuming it's successful Mak will have the creature toss the templar off it's back and then attack her.))

I'd say let him live. I'm sure he'll probably be even more out for our blood than before, but surely whatever Nibenay sends after us for killing his son will be far worse. Perhaps Nibenay will even convince him to stop being a fool and leave us alone...

Laakh ceases ESP. He grew up listening to tales of this mutant son. Better off dead, but whatever might take his place will be much much much be worse. Keeping Safe Path on 1 more round, he watches the outcome of Mak's attentions on the cilops with wrist razor ready.
He calls out:
"we have another round minute to weigh his life or death. Take his toys at minimum."

Vote:
Dead: Laakh, Mak, HurK, Kem & Kri'kcht Alive: Kleys Awaiting: Pallia
The majority has decided. Once Dhojakt is unconscious, HurK siphons his remaining life force into him via his Life Draining power.

Then we can easily sum this up.
The templaress does fall from the cilops on the side that is obscured from your vision (her left/South-ish).
You coup de grace the once mighty foe. What fate does this seal? Or do you believe in such nonsense? One thing is for certain. You have some very powerful enemies.
Of course Kri-kcht can take the heal from this vampiric act.

[Life Draining, rolled 13. -16 PsP's] HurK drains 16 hp from the son of Nibenay.
A long tentacle then reaches out and gently touches Kri on an arm [Lend Health, rolled 14. -9 PsP's]
The Kreen is fully healed [+22 HP] as the massive tentacled mass reverts back to his naked B'rohg form then slums over into the sand next to the cilops-man. His chest heaving up and down, loudly gulping in massive breaths.
"Kill..."
"The..."
"Templar!"
[-112 PsP's -26 HP +4/25% to one non-psionic activation roll prayer spell (+1 attack, damage and saves)] -------------------------------------------------- HurK is out of commission for the next 6 rounds while he catches his breath.

Mak instructs the Cilops to attack with it's antenna only, then draws his metal gladius and rushes toward the templar to regain line of sight.
The Pterrax continues to circle until it is certain that Dhojakt is dead.

As you advance to the cilops, there is some confusion. It has nothing to attack.
Kem gets to the area quickly and discovers a bit of red blood on the white sand.
And a single peach pit.

Meanwhile you have a giant corpse of a sorcerer king's half-human son dead at your feet. He wore a silk sarami and a black skullcap... the sarami has a pouch that holds two apricots and a ripe peach. There is a worn golden ring on his right index finger depicting a cilops or snake eating it's own tail... similar to the flags flown over the Stone City.
There is of course his imposing war stave.
The now controlled cilops has a few packs and skins lashed to it; upon examination? A few gallons of water and hard tack is found. Very light provisions so being so far from home.

Mak picks up the peach pit and grins, waiving an incantation around it. "Sneaky Templar"
((Mak casts Scent of Vengeance [Lv2, Priest Spell Compendium] targeting the Templar. Casting time 1 rnd. Afterwhich Mak can track her unerringly for the next 16 days unless the templar has used teleport, gate or plane shift. If the spell places the templar anywhere within line of sight but invisible or concealed, Mak will immediately launch a glitterdust spell to outline her form and alert the others to her presence.))

- Kem gets to the place where the templaress was last seen and checks for any other steps or blood traces to follow, expecting also that the spell works to rush towards her
[OOC: Another enemy, a SK now... Add to the list and keep counting enemies...]
