Mak will grab one of the non-magical medallions and tie it around his wrist. Then he'll walk over to Yiska and heal her while advising "You shouldn't rush into combat like that if you're already wounded."
Then he'll heal himself a little too.
((Cure Moderate and Cure Light on Yiska, total healed: 7hp. Cure Serious and Cure Light on Mak, total healed: 9hp))
((Mak 35/42hp, AC 0, Barkskin 9/12 rnds, Spells: 1st 4/6, 2nd 4/6, 3rd 4/5, 4th 2/3))

Mak will grab one of the non-magical medallions and tie it around his wrist. "Mak, we should ALL be wearing them around our neck, just like those before us did. It may be important later" she says

It may be important later" she says Mak fingers the necklace he's already wearing. "Maybe. It also might be important that one of us not wear it the same way to avoid the whole party being mind controlled. Those creatures looked like they were forced into service."

Yiska simply states (while shaking her head), "My brother is being held by those bones in the south. I will fight as hard as Mother would have to free his dumb arse."
Pause.
"Thank you though."

Kleys shifts from foot to foot, full of nervous energy... "Try Dispel magic on the door. If that doesn't work I'll try and break it down..." she asks the wizard

The dispel seems to work, as the door no longer reveals itself as magical.
From there? Easy enough to batter down.
Your magic detecting vision reveals the large, intact rug in the room to be magical...
...as well as something on the wall towards the rear of the room a tad to the left, directly across from you at the opposing wall.
Otherwise the room is much the same as Laahk saw, rotted bunks, bedding, dust and sand coating everything.
(Not near my map tonight. Will update tomorrow, but still post text as needed.)

Kleys will check the rug to make sure its not trapped and discern what type of magic it detects as. (Traps: 36/65% - success)
Then check out the magic "something" on the other side of the room examining it and checking it also for Traps (79/65%).

HurK looks for anywhere that might allow sand to get into the room, walls, corners, ceiling, tiny holes, etc. And looks for footprints too.

- Kem gets close to Yishka - I understand that but your dead will only give him grief. Determination yes, but not blindfolded rage Yishka, at least not if you're not well recovered - tells with a kind smile and sadness in the eyes, only to look to what goes ahead and holding one of these medallions in hand, just in case

The rug seems enchanted (enchantment). How else would it be in this decent of condition after all of this presumed time? As for a trap? Well, it doesn't seem to be covering a pit. There are no apparent triggering devices that you can see. No face, mouth or tentacles about. Walking around the carpet, you can check out the wall. There seems to be an outline of a door, but no apparent handle. A small, painted mark, like an eye with three jagged lines through it about four fingers in width sits about where a door handle would usually be. It is this specific area that radiates magic. Then the detect magic fades. Updated map: darksunsouthtablelands.obsidianportal.com/maps/127903

Kleys will pop off another Detect Magic and continue to examine the "door".
And (quietly) call upon Laakh to do an Object Reading on the carpet and for Mak to potentially to a Diviniation on the magic doorknob.
Armor Class: 7 (3, assuming Armor was cast – lasts 10/14 hp) HP: 20/24 Spells per Day/Level Detect Magic – 5/day. 1st – 0/day, 2nd – 1/day, 3rd – 1/day.

Mak will inscribe a Glyph of Revealing (Lv2, Priest Spell Compendium, all dweomers within a 120' diameter sphere glow with faerie fire for 8 hours, written magic can be read without triggering) then will cast Divination on the magical image on the door as requested by Kleys.
((Mak 35/42hp, AC 6, Spells: 1st 4/6, 2nd 3/6, 3rd 4/5, 4th 1/3))
