Attilius takes the war staff from the mindbender, spins it around a bit to feel it's weight and movement, then nods heavily "The balance, it's good."

Kri-kcht does not feel the need to introduce him self nor be polite in any way to the new goliath. Instead he positions himself so that he is between the big one and to Kementiri.

Now that everyone is acquainted, Mak speaks up. "We still have a room to clear on this level. I can afford a trap location and magic detection spell, but I can't keep it up for long. Kem and Atticus how about you both take the front. I'll guide you as to what appears trapped or magic and I'll be close to offer healing should you be wounded. Are we all ready to go?"

Once everyone is ready to move forward Mak will cast "Find Traps" and "Detect Magic" and scan the door first.

- I'm happy with that but keeping in mind what already happened before and the supposedly still reticences about me - without any criticism towards Attillius - I'll go a few steps ahead, so I won't be at his back and, if something happens, you'll still have a combatant with you.
As we never know when death will handshake us, and keeping in mind how treacherous is this place, it's an honour fight at your side. - A second of silence whilst looking to everyone's eyes - No, this is not a quick farewell but just in case it happens.. Because I'm not going to sell my skin, and feathers, any cheaper at all! - Ends with a bit more enthusiastic tone - I'm ready when you are.

Clarifications:

1. Since Pallia is currently holding the staff? She makes the call to surrender the item if needed.

2. Mak detected life in the first floor down from the roof. This is the same level that you saw the phantom battle, fought the undead monks, etc... You have not circumnavigated the entire secret door revealed area (where there were arrow slits). 3. The bulk of the party was in the room on the 2nd floor down from the roof - by the room you fought the tembo. There are no apparent ways down to the next floor - but three obvious doors and some sections of hidden passageway that have not been searched - as well as the rose quartz tile that you did not touch. darksunsouthtablelands.obsidianportal.com/maps/128142

4. Kleys is one floor further down from that. No map needed yet for that - it's one corridor and a room.

I need to know which door on the 2nd floor down to choose (none have traps to be seen)- or if you meant to check the life detection area (one floor up).

Pallia has no objection to surrendering the war staff, especially since she doesn't know how to use it.
