Laahk does get a positive reply from Albart.

He then phases out. Taking the step of faith into the room...

Laahk simply hovers in place. His feet, even in this strange vibration don't find purchase upon the "ground". Everyone sees him moonwalk in place. Very disorienting.

The medallion is seemingly keeping the psion on the same plane.

With another jaunty wave to the air at his watchers, he shuts off Phase and takes out a ceramic bit. Underhand toss against the wall he is facing.

Are you shutting off phase in the room?

Or attempting to step backwards into the main hall proper first (assuming that's possible)?

Since normal movement appears impossible, and dePhasing might be bad, Laakh will look back at where he started in the main hall, make sure there is empty space, and Teleport back.
