As the rest of the party began to leave, Attilius slowly made his way to the group. He'd found some issues with a roving band of white painted elves and while he managed to fight them off... it took some time for him to regain his pace. Bequeathed with Kalak's headless corpse, he decided to camp. The odd wizard had mentally contacted him every other day or so since he'd left. The goliath assumed that would happen again soon enough, so he found a spot and waited patiently.
Wormholes, gates, shape-changing, expanding, hauling and every type of logistical thought was done...
The end result?
Abez was back on the Tyrian Gambit in Balic.
The bulk of the party was transposed nearby the Rokos family tomb. Coden had been contacted by Khuv who agreed this was a safe, out of prying eyes place to appear. He made plans for the rest to camp there - notifying his uncle's staff that they were not to be disturbed. He would meet with them shortly. The young noble had contracted a smaller skimmer crew to transport the first delivery of flint and was willing to help Abez hire further crew so he could deal properly with the Gambit. This would definitely keep the costs in line.
Khuv and the elves plan on traveling to Nibenay once errands are run.
Mak and Kleys were divining the wagon's secrets (and then heading to Altaruk).
Hurk can be used with Khuv to move things about as needed over the next days.
So you learn some things, given the auguries, history divining dweomers and simple trial & error. This occurs just outside of Bodach.
The wagon was ensorcelled with a spell of non-detection. A dispel took the wizard lock off. Within? A lavish (yet small), magically lit chamber filled with violet silken pillows, luxurious kirre furs, and a tapped barrel of golden Tyrian wine great you. It smells heavily of incense. A single dark green plant grows from a rounded, black ceramic pot. A pale yellow flower blooms. Underneath it? Three large tomes, as described by the dead Dote Mal sit. There are also a half dozen quills, a scarab-shaped quill sharpener and a corked pot that you assume is ink nearby. Further searching will reveal a small handful of white gems, a hundred silver coins of Tyrian minting, a rough chunk of heavy igneous rock the size of a small stool in the corner (behind the pillows) and a half dozen perfectly round obsidian spheres.

(Kleys will Detect Magic and examine each individual item in the wagon - without touching. If the wagon has a blinding, pervasive aura of magic that washes out everything, HARD STOP. Then he will check the wagon's interior for Traps [mundane & magical]: roll 53 vs. 75/85% - success)
(Kleys will only identify traps, not remove them, YET).
(Then, he'll examine the silver pieces and then gems for traps [spells and poisons I'd imagine, but who knows...])
(THEN, he'll use Appraising [rolled 10 vs 19 - success] and Spellcraft [rolled 4 vs 17 - success] to reveal their value/usefulness.)
(Then, if nothing awful happens/is found, he'll check each of the books in turn for [probably magical, but no assumptions] Traps and then for magc [trappy spells, etc].
(% rolls, use them as you need them: 29, 100, 70, 56, 54, 42, 97, 41, 90, 98, 100, 98, 8, 56, 50, 61, 99, 21)

Mak will investigate the plant in Dote's Wagon in an attempt to identify it or it's purpose.

- As the cart is non detectable, might be a good idea to move in it if we get any beast to pull from it, but then, what will it happen with the Gambit? - And looking to all - Which is the next movement in mind? Because I'm still intrigued with the weapon craft skills from old that surely the lawmakers might remember in Bodach.
Yes, they did what they did to them - Looking at Khuv, the captain and Yishka's brother - but they weren't officially recognised denizens of Bodach. I'm not entirely sure about their rules but that knowledge could be a game changer.. Maybe getting the full terms and conditions of their view on as as citizens there first won't make us any harm - Kem says like speaking her mind.
- The gladiatrix turns to Mak and to Kleys - Could it be possible for me to inspect both the short sword and the dagger? I'd love to see their craftsmanship..

Hurk can be used with Khuv to move things about as needed over the next days. during her downtime, HurK contacts Elder Shardivan for a debrief (new female form, Order/Tyr update, war-bringers/Dhojakt gossip and because he still thinks HurK's dead). Once done she'll then travel to the Cerebran and ask for an audience of speaker Iphignea (in the morning) to discuss her 'sabbatical' and death "side-effects"

Downtime Laakh will Mindlink with Raum and Maris, his kank rancher contacts outside Balic (News and rumors in Balic, the pros and cons of domesticating cilops)
Also debrief with Falmon of House Wavir (Dote's failed mission, spies afoot in Balic, Laakh's potential as a Wavir agent)
And a Mindlink to Andras in Altaruk (news in Altaruk, The Orrery and it's workings, Nibenese and bounty hunter rumors)

DM note: I've been messaging with Mak/Jason and Kleys/Adam over things to accomplish. Dote Mal's spellbook has been detailed. A memoir will be posted. I will think over and write mental correspondences tomorrow. I will also detail the identifiable items. Experience will also be updated. Sorry, I've just been busy AF in real life.

I will introduce Kleys to Andras after Laakh's 1st communication with Andras. If he gets any hinky vibes from his old contact, he will warn the team.

Post by Coden Rokos (Jesse H.) on Nov 28, 2021 21:16:22 GMT -12
Coden is glad to have some friendly faces, and he has one of the house staff bring a large basket of warm black bread, a trencher with slices of erdlu meat in gravy, seasoned asparagus spears, and two very large jugs of broy and one jar of surprisingly cold water.
"I'm afraid, my friends, that I'm still deep in House business, and I can spare just enough time to hear your latest stories but I will need to return to my duties afterward. There is someone here to see you all, though," he says, gesturing to introduce a half-elven woman in a long, hooded cloak and holding an ornate white staff. The woman pulls back the hood of her cloak and leans with one hand on her hip; unlike Coden, who wears the toga common to Balic, she wears a simple halter and soft leather breeches with ankle-high trompers. Her hair is sun-touched, blonde, and braided.
"This is Shanav," says Coden. "We only just met, but she tells me that she knows Kri-kcht, and she has credibly demonstrated that she has come on behalf of Lord Lokee of Urik."
The woman taps her staff on the cobblestones twice (idly, not imposingly) and then says, "What's the news, milk-drinkers? Lord Lokee would like to know how it's all going." Despite her casual attitude, she seems to be wise-cracking in a friendly way, and something about her is just immediately entertaining. (Charisma 18)

Kri-kcht greets Shanav with a four armed hug. "@#$ Hi, Shanav, long 'ime no see! How is Lokee? @#$"

Shanav awkwardly wraps an arm around Kri-kcht and pats his back. "All right, all right, you've got a pokey carapace there old friend," she says. "But yes, it's good to see you again. Lokee's adjusting quite well. He's very clever and has a good intuitive sense that guides him well in court. He knows enough not to trust anybody and it seems to amuse the sorcerer-king that Lokee's presence vexes some of the other nobles who're not used to this kind of shake-up in the hierarchy. I've been working for him for a while now, ostensibly as a court entertainer but really gathering intelligence, which is kind of an open secret. Anyway he just sent me to see how you were all doing and to tag along for a bit."
