- Valmera looks to the party then - My acquainted colleagues, it is not very polite to keep someone waiting, even less a fellow merchant, as the prices could 'accidentally' increase or decrease all of the sudden... - the elven maiden slightly remarks the word as to make everyone aware of - If we decide what to trade, we can close the trade, as he has berries - and in a lower tone - fresh are cheaper and with this heat these would dry away on their own so, we save some bits this way - returning to her regular voice pitch, smiling and moving a lock of her jet black hair behind the left ear with her hand, golden tanned in tone, slender in complexion

(OOC - to hasten along this quite protracted deal a bit I'll help by summarising all items we have and the prices mentioned by Elim and the actions for those we do - not taking into account any bonuses that Valmera can hustle using the Trader abilities - kes'trekel eggs, fresh - 3 bits/each - how much do we have?
- kes'trekel eggs, raisable/trainable - 6 ceramic/each - 2 of those so 12 ceramic
- guano - 2 bits/pound - how much do we have?
- sandhowler meat - 4 bits/pound - how much do we have?
- sandhowler pelt - 10 ceramics - is that for all pelts together? we'll sell them off regardless, don't we?
In the possible future, sandhowler albino pelt - 13 silver - if we deliver one nice and easy - Bob, I have the Seamstress/Tailor NWP, what does that allow me to do, given your comments before/above regarding dressing? Also, I would have obviously used this skill if I thought it would have fetched us a better price today)

(We have just a sample pouch if guano, not enough to sell.)

Ten remaining pounds of meat (the other ten you poisoned to kill the kes'trekel). 6 eggs in total (including the fertile ones).
Given time and a successful check? You could make all manner of things from pelts. Moccasins, gloves, belts, cloaks, etc... Your imagination is the limit. Well that and how complex you make the task.

I think he means, we should have done a better job preserving the hides if he ALREADY HAD the NWP necessary to do so at the time. I though i had specifically asked what skills helped butchering animals previously, but the closest i got in this game was apparently ""Is anyone experienced at butchering animals? The Forest abhors wasting a bounty like this - we should not leave all of it for the buzzards.""

Pretty sure at the time I looked over proficiencies the group had. But I do enjoy you (the players) trying to figure these things out. Also, you can totally not sell the scraps of hide and try making something out of them. Depends if you want to burn the time/water/food/coin to do so. I have no issues forwarding if this is something you wish to do.
A pair of white sandhowler gloves might be worth selling though? Possibly a silver or so in trade? Depending on rolls to see how well such an item was fabricated of course. Assuming no botched rolls you might be able to get two pair out of the mess. We'd need to consult the skill itself for time required, etc...

(Fine. Apparently you checked all our NWPs, missed the one that would allow us to not do a shit job on the hides, and thats whatever. Give us the extra ceramics or tell us "to bad, so sad" and move on.)
(I think we're all pretty over this particular mercantile trip.)

- Valmera listens to the list - We might keep one of the treskel eggs if you want to train them - Looking to Ibubesi and back to Quila. The wind moves along the alleyways, slightly changing direction and the slender black-haired woman moves the lock of hair away - In relation to the pieces of skin we have, it's surely a way to get profit from them, I do really believe so - winking to her for everyone to see. A smart smile flourishes in her lips and back to normal - Ah, we should not forget the berries, and maybe some seeds too!
[OOC: I don't mind to keep the trading post but looking into how a ranger works in several editions and a Half-elf in Athas, I guess the Survival NWP could do the job.]

The halfling shifts his weight from one foot to the other while scanning for trouble at the groups rear 180°. It's clear he's ready to get some rest then GET BACK TO EXPLORING.

(OOC - the group is selling for a grand total of 17 ceramics and 2 bits [w/o the pelts, see question below]
kes'trekel eggs, fresh - 3 bits/each - 12 bits total kes'trekel eggs, raisable/trainable - 6 ceramic/each - 2 of those so 12 ceramic sandhowler meat - 4 bits/pound - 40 bits total sandhowler pelt - 10 ceramics - you weren't clear if that was for all pelts together? or per pelt? in any case we'd like to sell them off

we end up with 75-ish berries and 16 ceramics and 8,5 bits - and possibly some extra ceramics due to the pelts)

Quila keeps an ear to the ground while at the market and moving about the New City. What is the fresh rumour or gossip around town? Any new missions or jobs agents are put on or paid to do? I will also talk up some Maraneth agents I know from my month in the city so far to ask about any undead lore that’s floating around, or anything on the Old City I haven’t heard. I'll buy drinks if a lead seems to have genuine information. For that I'll use my natural charisma and some Truthear psionics if necessary. If I see the regal half-giantess I will also talk to her if she seems approachable.

I want to be clear. I as a DM do not use your skills. You as players choose to use skills, specifically. You also need to understand that words coming out of NPCs mouths aren't always truth or can be half truths. Not really sure why this is a point of frustration (except these things are a lot faster to deal with tabletop over play-by-post).
That was all of the pelts.
The transaction can be completed at this point. How much time is Quila dedicating to the above tasks? The rest of this day? Are there plans to return to the ruins this day or after an evening's rest?

All the market work is appreciated, BTW. I'm happy to provide imposing escort to the proceedings, and then back to the ruins to investigate the unexplored, and along the way, scrounge up material to shore up our base camp building. Maybe look around the more ruined parts for scrap wood.

(OOC: Okay. Consider the transactions done. Who keeps the money or do we instantly split it between ourselves?
Quila would use the time available during the day, depending on whatever the group does. If they go after materials like Mokka, then I'll definitely use the time given to me. It's a better use of my talents. It'd help if I weren't alone and somebody tailed me but it isn't necessary.)
