'Muiko's disembodied voice can be heard from the doorway "The pillow under that charming flute radiates death magic, I'd wager it's trapped"

Upon closer examination a single thread is woven to the instrument and the pillow it rests upon. This is likely the trigger or would cause one to disturb the pillow if the whistle was removed. The Murmillo steps away from the doorway and says

This cannot be right. The book reads as 12,555 years old. The magics behind it? Enchantment, conjuration, transmutation...
The only thing gleaned from the historian's eye is the nine-tongued worm. Mak Thuum Ngatha. A long dead cult thought eradicated by the warrior-women of flame centuries ago. As you mouth the name of the cult, Coden swears he's heard that name before. With my NWP Ancient History (Green Age), does that year tell me anything else? Not specifically that year of course, but is it between certain events, or in a certain period of the Green Age? As she whispered the cult name and sees a flash of recognition from Coden, Quila says "Oh, you recognize this? From your earlier travels perhaps? It was not the psurlons, right? Any other strange beings maybe?" Quila will make sure the book will be in the chest and the chest can come along. "Could you carry this chest perhaps Attillus?" (OOC: rolled a 6 on a 16 for the nwp in case that matters or a roll is needed.)
This was early Green Age, many more cults were revered and eventually abandoned (or possibly eradicated) during this period. The elemental worshippers had done much to stamp out these fledgling heretics, perhaps at the behest of the elemental lords themselves. This cult was not one that many humans or halflings professed to worship - or so you think. Maybe there was more of that at a different stage of the failed religion?

- Skrye nods at Chat'cho - "Thank you" - as she attempts to get rid of the threaded trap she was pointed to
[OOC: Remove traps 62% out of 70%, successful with the call upon faith spell, 4rnds left, it was the Momentum spell, I misleaded the name. My mistake, thank you Quila]

(OOC: if still active the +20% bonus from Quila’s Moment spell applies too. Moment has a 7 minutes/rounds duration.)

Niachi smudges the doorways of all rooms proven safe with a small spiral of charcoal from his firebuilding kit, then stands in a position where he can hope to memorize the layout. His familiar sits and guards, preening its wings and emitting soft chirps of contentment.
"Safe rooms marked."

Snipping the thread was what it took as you grasp the tiny instrument.
You believe there might be a glyph sewed underneath the pillow or it's filled with mini acid spiders or something. Best not disturb that or the rug.
The whistle is liberated.

The half giant breathes a sigh of relief. He then offers to anyone a drink of his massive water skin (4 gallon capacity) before finishing it off himself.
[8 gallons seperated in 2 skins remaining]

"I will unlock this last door once we've discussed how were entering and who goes first. There's three locks on the door, there's probably something valuable behind the door and potentially another guardian" 'Muiko says from the hallway side of the open doorway to the death pillow room.

Quila nods at Attillus, producing a brown cloak from her pack, that she took before, and looks at the position of 'Muiko's voice when she says "I think it's a good idea to hold on to the same walking order as we did moving from the statues room into the mold room, no?"
Before the door is opened, Quila will activate Safe Path again.
Active: - Sacred Guardian spell (on Chat'cho, and hers on me) - Safe Path (+4/+25% rolls; combat -2 AC / +4 saves)
(OOC: Safe Path, rolled a 13 on 20, success.)

This cult was not one that many humans or halflings professed to worship - or so you think. Maybe there was more of that at a different stage of the failed religion? Quila makes a mental note to investigate that period a bit further in the library, especially where it concerns this specific cult and the clash with fire elemental worshippers. Who knows, maybe the efreetess even played a role that far back.

Niachi looks quite dashing in his perfectly aged and tattered brown cloak, if he must say so. He motions with his hand for Kaw-Rawk to return to his shoulder and fits into the agreed marching order.
