The next locked and trapped door stands before you.
The rusted iron stave sits in Attilius' pack.
How will you approach this portal?

Attilius removes his galea and walks over to the NON-trapped door. He'll raise his hand so that everyone is quiet and put his head (ear) flat to the door, hold his breath and listen. If all is quiet, he'll strap his helm back on and pull the door off it's hinges in one piece... [Open doors 18 (16), rolled a 4]Attachments:

This room has shattered terra cotta all about. Thick plaster dust coats a royal blue rug. The walls are painted an amber color, now well faded. Three empty statue bases are positioned in front of the three walls.
No magic or traps are detected here.

"Wow." Chat'cho is clearly disappointed. "All those locks to *rotect nothing?"

Attilius carefully cleans off the rug, rolls it up and puts it in his pack.
He'll then check for secret doors on the walls and where the rug was covering.

Nothing is found. You need to suppress the need to sneeze multiple times.

He cleans the dust off himself as he emerges, pointing to the 2 other doors and saying "Who's removing those traps?"

"Not I." Coden gently wipes some of the dust off onto one of his fingers and eyes it to see if it has the same color and consistency as the other magic-suppression dust.

"Ask why Amman leaves these rooms for us with artifacts and traps? Centuries of boredom? I cannot Identify more than we know. I can start detecting magic unless that is covered..."
OOC Bob: I rolled a 16 on Spellcheck for what Amman cast on Chat. Need 16 or less.

The dust is from terra cotta and plaster. Whitish-grey, not the same as the magic dampening dust of the corridor.
As stated earlier, a successful roll tells lets you suspect that it was a geas, or pact that is magically made to the ends of a goal getting accomplished by the target. Chat is obligated to return these worms from the plane of fire once you accomplish your efreeti hunt.
You suspect that Aman will be scrying something to that effect. While you don't currently feel watched, that may change once you leave this place.
And yes, alleviating boredom has a lot to do with undead immortality.
It is likely that the tari should start disarming traps... but there are faster ways if you have the cojones (as Attilius has demonstrated recently).

<Ping Niachi "I am currently detecting for magic and will Identify things when we return to Kurn unless someone else chooses to do so first">
'Muiko stays near Niachi while traps are dealt with, when the next Knock is necessary, he'll let loose with it.

- "Anything can be used for good and for bad in ones or others hands, even a dagger, to protect or to harm" - making palm face and nodding sideways when the staff fitted the floor making such obvious noise. After spending a few minutes looking at the northern door, Skrye looks at the party - "I can't disarm it, sorry" - moving then to the southern trapped one - "This was easier to crack in" - setting her ear against it to check for any movement inside, in a failed attempt
[OOC: Failed Find traps in the northern door (85% out of 50%), a successful roll in the southern one (23% out of %50) and failed Detect Noise roll (61% out of 60%)]

When Quila sees the tari scuttle off to attempt a disarm of traps she calls out to her friend from Celik, "Hold for a second Skrye, I can at least help you do better with the powers of Oronis if you let me. I would also advise you if you are able, to allow yourself a minute to Call Upon Faith, as that greatly steadies one's hand in such exciting moments."
Quila will cast a Moment and guide the tari, giving her a 20% or +4 to rolls over the next 7 minutes.

Due to knowing that the traps already existed and the favors of Oronis and the elemental planes, you are able to suss out the traps.
However, you must tell me how you want to deal with the one since the detection was so close.
It is an arrow trap. The projectile is facing *over* your right shoulder if it triggers.
You (Skrye) can do either:
1. Trigger the trap and have it hit the wall above your shoulder
2. Take more time and manually disarm it to keep it from triggering
3. Something else of your choosing

Since I feel this is getting lost in translation or there's too much anxiety about the whole deal...
The arrow is triggered. The tari midjudges slightly and it bounces off her shoulder - harmlessly.
But that causes her to look at the wall behind. If she hadn't slightly deflected the projectile, it would've hit this area right here...
Oh shit. A small section of the wall has been painted, it looks like the arrow was meant to shatter that part. Who knows what they just avoided.
On an obsidian altar inside this room is an small ironbound chest secured with two locks. Next to the altar is a black basalt book stand carved into a twining column of tendons and bone. The empty bookrest is shaped like a huge, skeletal claw.
