I will need Dex checks from everyone involved that wishes to cross by foot. Safe path awards Coden +4 to this check. Same goes for Laahk if he wishes to activate the same power. I will roll for Khuv and Yishka.

edited for Bob's last reply--
Laakh crosses the bridge with a careful freedom, maintaining Safe Path, allowing any motion to guide him.
Dex roll +4: target 11, rolled 9 +4 = 13.
"Let's prioritize our strengths. Any other exits from this room, Khuv? And Yiska why does your blade glow??"

The halfling points to the shit-stream. "I guess we could find something to float down that? Don't really wanna though."
Yiska replies. "My mother's sword, carved from the leg bone of a mighty air drake, was ensorcelled by tribal shamans some four or five generations ago."
"It kinda just does that when held. Doesn't mess with my night vision - I find it rather comforting; even more so now that I have it back in my hand."
She sheathes it though when it's her turn to cross.
"This place is giving me the creeps." She adds.
Marching order was HurK, Yiska, Laakh, Khuv then Coden --- let's make sure Hurk makes it across before I tell the results of the other NPCs, since you'll have to react if he screws up.

Dex check roll 18
[Bob does HurK hear anything beyond the doors?]

Well, that would be possible if you weren't falling off the thin, slippery bridge right now.
You can quickly try to activate a psionic power before you hit the muck and possibly stone beneath it.

[Said in my best Homer voice: DOH!]
As HurK falls through the air he winces his eyes shut and envisions himself a smokey outline as he hits the shit stream.
[Ectoplasmic form 19, rolled 19 success with power score; -9 PsP's]
Hurk moves/climbs up through the earth and up on to the other side of the barred door. (Does he see anything of importance?)

Coden manages to shimmy across, in spite of his usual clumsiness.
[Roll of 5.]

The others safely make it across.
Hurk has a slight issue - as he actually runs into the floor. It is impassable.
The others can see upon looking closer, there are runes scattered about the face of the barred entry.
Also in common, carved into the door proper are the following words:
BEWARE. HIGHLY DANGEROUS. SEALED ON COMMAND OF THE SHADOW KING HIMSELF.

Hurk will see how far the magic goes within the wall to the left of the door... (Meanng he will walk 10, 50, 150' until he can go forward and then walk back on the other side through the stone until he can see the back of the door)

You're walking through hard packed earth, and pressing against brick or rock. The chamber's boundary is roughly rectangular: maybe ten paces, 5 paces and another ten paces back to the door. It's two Hurk heights tall. You cannot access at any of these points. Whatever ward covers the entire room. But you are pretty sure there's no other exits, so that's a plus.

Hurk returns to the group and gives them the info. "This doir may be a dead end, but the tunnel? " [-49 PsP's]

After Hurk's briefing, Laakh gestures to the warded door and with steel in his voice:
"No."
He turns to face the bridge and holds his hand out behind him to guide the psiologist and others over the bridge and up the stairs. Safe Path still active.
"If anyone wants to 'port over instead, raise a hand.. Unless you enjoy interrogation and having your synapses re-wired into the wrong connections by eager yet unlearned defiler surgeons. Mind you, I am a dead man if caught. And by 'I' I mean 'us.'"

HurK asks Yiska and the others their thoughts. "I agree with Laakh on the sealed room but what of the waste tunnel? Who in their right mind would trudge through this filth: Makes a perfect hideaway for hidden contraband or treasures..." he says while watching a turd lazily float by.

Yiska replies. "This might be a good place to stash things - it seems recently untouched and night near impossible to easily get to. But exploring sewers right now? Might be better to go topside and get to real business."

"Agree, but don't be surprised if it's gone at our next visit. Easy money for skills like mine if I knew the layout." Any last ideas here Coden and Khuv?"
