It takes Khuv time to rest to get ready for transport once more. The last wider wormhole took a lot out of him.

Sun rises on a new day as he begins to focus. Unless otherwise stated, ALL ACTIVE PCs are transported to Balic via the halfling's portal...

And just in time for breakfast as you step into the courtyard. [52 PSPs used from wormhole, Remie/Khuv]

This time there's less drama. The Head Mistress is busy though and you will be lucky to see her before mid afternoon. This gives you some time to reintegrate, catch your breath and examine the odd items found on the sentient worm corpses.

That and there's a slight issue. Laahk begins feeling pings of scrying, watching and detection. [Tell me if you wish to fight it (engage in psychic contest) give me rolls, please deduct 5 PSPs as per Sensitivity to Observation as well.]

HurK keeps the psurlon items and tablets wrapped in the phase spider silk until he can meet with the Speaker. He sends word to her though "Mission accomplished, mostly. Awaiting debrief."

He'll cut off the head of the black robed psurlon and give it to Mak to continue his daily questioning. "After your 9 days of questioning, let's burn it to ash"

OOC DM Musing. Huh. An Athasian week is longer than that of most other game worlds. Does that mean Speak with Dead is more effective? Hmm.

Mak is curious about the Jozhal skull and the odd talismans. If Hurk agrees to leave them with Mak, he will do some divination while interrogating the dead Psurlon.

This location in Balic is completely foreign to Mak, so he'll take some time investigating it. Hopefully there is some greenery somewhere within the compound he can relax around. He gives his Pterrax strict instructions to stay on the ground and not cause any trouble.

Next two questions for the Psurlon:
"How many Psurlon were involved in the cell at the Dwarven town we found your body in?"

"Where is your oversized leader located?"

Assuming Hurk agrees to let Mak inspect the items taken from the dead Psurlon, Mak will cast some divination magics upon them. (Detect Magic, Lv.1 PHB, magic intensity levels and a 70% chance to determine school/sphere of magic.) (Divine Purpose, 3rd Lv ToM, on any item that detects as magical, 26% chance of success, just once per day.)

HurK allows the spell casting but only in a closed room away from prying eyes (just the two of them) and quickly wraps the items back up as soon as Mak is done.

Tell us EVERYTHING IN GREAT DETAIL that was discussed at your last meeting.

Day 4:

EXACTLY how many miles and in what cardinal direction is your secret meeting spot from South Ledopolus, where you were killed?

Give us the exact numbers, rank/titles/positions and names of those at the last meeting, including any thralls present.

Day 5:

How often do you communicate/check in with your superiors and when is the next communication supposed to happen?

It holds for now, but the scrutiny backs off after a few breaths. [Scryer won.]

None of the three items show as magical, but that does not rule out possible psionic items... such as the ones found before on the other psurlons.

The dead worm has no will to resist speaking it seems. [Failed save again, damn it.]

He will write down info about the weapons for sale and that he is currently being scryed, covering his scribbles with his other hand, then folding and handing it to a minion. He will isolate himself from important talks unless Wavir can provide wards against the distant eyes and ears.

HurK asks one of the teachers for a small comfortable room for Laakh to relax and meditate in, for him to be in seclusion.

Otherwise he'll see what Gitmog is up to and offers any aid while he waits for the Speaker...

He also shares the information gleaned from the Psurlon, notably that nearly a dozen Psurlon remain as a threat within South Ledopolis. The only good news is that their oversized leader exists across the silt sea on the far eastern shore.

"Thank you." He carefully wraps them back up in the spider silk "I have plenty of questions [see above] plus the Speaker may have some of her own... as to their 'cell number', I believe the total is 20. We killed another that was actually set as bait for us before you met us."

"Let us hope some of those dead dwarves were Psurlon in disguise. Sixteen of those creatures is a powerful threat, possibly beyond our capacity to handle."

"Agreed but if they were in disguise they would've transformed back into their native worm shape once killed. The same would happen to me if I perished while in any of my forms."

He thinks for a moment

"That is unless they used Magiks to disguise themselves, of which I have no knowledge of those workings..."

As Laakh is guided to a secluded chamber, he makes sure that Falmon or Ephenia get his next note:

"We were not scryed upon until we popped into this building. Food for thought."

He Rejuvenates and empties his mind until needed by the others.
