We already have an offer for the full value and papers signed. Inspection for the house we're selling hits this next Tuesday.
Stupid busy. Fingers crossed that things continue to run smoothly.

Minimal BS for selling the old home so far - hit with a small(ish) fee to fix some unknown problem after the home inspection. If we don't know, it isn't our liability, so there's that. I want to think its foundation settling issues so the less we know on sale the better.
Buying the new home? Crazy older lawyer. Had to accept some mods to the deal I wasn't quite feeling - but I'm pretty sure it isn't the owners. Still crossing fingers. Hope to get my condo in some more order the next two weekends with Anne. Tapped a couple old friends to help watch the boys while we work.

Adrianne and I are in the middle of a massive move of stuff from one storage unit to another storage unit, which is gonna take up the whole weekend.

Today I had to rearrange a large unfinished basement so radon mitigation can begin next week. Also met with the owners of the home we're buying - they wanted to know if we wanted to purchase any of their furniture, etc...
The owners are real cool though. Ended up getting to ask a lot of questions and alleviated a lot of the little stresses I'd gathered. Feeling pretty effing good. Timeline looks to be falling into place (knock on wood).
My boys have a half day of school tomorrow and this weekend I have some repairs that I'll be beginning at my current place. Posting might be a tad sporadic (or not if I feel like procrastinating).

Put in a garbage disposal today. Hung a few closet doors a couple days ago. Who knew I'd make a decent handyman? Pbbbth.
I do promise that once things settle down I'll be back up to my usual posting frequency and shenanigans.

Rescreened a window. Added a few replacement slats to my larger blinds. Scheduled radon testing for tomorrow. Scoped out a few storage units and priced them accordingly. Did a half dozen other random errands and my list hasn't really gotten much smaller.
I should have a better block of time tomorrow to properly do maps. Sorry I've been behind.

Radon test passed. Now to set the closing dates. Today I have to take the kids to their new pediatrician...
This should actually free up my evening as I planned an easy dinner. Assuming there's no legal BS for me to deal with I intend on keeping the game moving.

A lot of drama today. Called 8 moving companies before I had one agree to schedule an appointment for a quote (tomorrow). Booked a junk removal for Sunday. Blocked out Saturday for my parents to watch the boys while we go over the old house's contents. Posting might be erratic. I will pick it up tomorrow - my brain is scattered right now... promise the next posts will be meaty. I need to sleep on a few ideas.

Extremely tired. I will post afternoon tomorrow. We condensed a good chunk of the possessions at my MIL's house today and I have junk removal coming in early tomorrow.

Junk removal took all day yesterday (in some solid rain). Sorry for the lack of posting. 2 full trucks from the (1-800)GotJunk company... but since they sent out a half filled truck to start, I had 3 trucks removing things from the old house. Pbbbth. Adulting.
Decent company to work with though. Would have liked some of the additional charges for certain removals more openly stated before they arrived, but they were nice enough to credit me a few things since they were running slightly late.

Really busy lifting boxes today, mainly a good chunk of my cookbooks and then putting cases of seasonal decor into the new attic. Took an edible for my back and I'm going to put off on posting until tomorrow. Stick a fork in me, I'm done.

Been assembling a lot of furniture the past few days. The kiddos bunk bed got finished the other night. I should be back to regular schedule after this next Monday as I'll have less to deal with after having the condo emptied.
Apologies for any delay. One of these days I'll throw a few pics up - pretty sure you'd get the insanity if you knew my wife and I's collecting habits. I collect cookbooks (well over 500 and not counting my fantasy fiction and gaming books). Anne has an, um, intense music collection of CDs, vinyl and cassettes. Well over 2200 albums.
We're lucky we've escaped any interventions for our habits, but dragging this stuff around is getting a bit old. I hope to not have issues that require another physical move, pretty sure I'm done with this BS after this. Already down almost 10 pounds from a week and a half ago to boot.
