I've been doing some cooking for a friend who had a resurgence of cancer and needed emergency spinal surgery (tumor removal). In between the kid's schooling I've been knocking out batches of soup and stew-like foods to send out to her and her daughter.
I am trying to keep up with the board here. To be perfectly honest? It's been nice to slow down a tad. But I'd love to speed it up again. I feel balance has hit these last few days. Keep posting. I will try to get more in earlier in my day assuming the boys don't decide my itinerary. In Illinois, we've been having negative wind chills and snow like every other day. Probably won't let up for a week or so, so they're (my devil sons) getting more and more stir crazy.
Please post. If you think you're waiting on another player? Feel free to suggest courses of action. I'll take it into consideration if things drag a bit.

Had a helluva long day today. I'll try to post early tomorrow. Did a later than normal shopping run and had a solid 4 trips up the stairs and my kids still aren't going to sleep. I'll probably pass out before they do.  |

Wow.
Today was a real treat. My lovely wife Anne hit her eye on her car door last night and has a shiner that has turned 3 or 4 different colors through the day.
My oldest son was trying to do school testing - only to have his chromebook fizzle. Took him out of class today as a result. May have been issues with firewalls and/or my wife needing to be in video meetings off the same wifi. Whatever. I'm done playing IT until someone fills out a proper work ticket.
Went outside for a bit. Snow in my courtyard is up to my knees. I'm just shy of 6 feet tall. Kids lasted like 10 minutes before losing a boot.
Currently drinking, listening to stoner rock and thinking about watching WandaVision.
PS. Ted Cruz needs to be 86'ed. Still.

I did not sleep much last night. I will attempt a post once the kids go down in a bit.
The good news today is that I have my first vaccine shot scheduled for Wednesday evening. Anne is getting her second shot in the morning the same day. Looking forward to the concept of controlled socialization and having the kids get to play with some of their old friends (assuming the parents also get their Fauchi Ouchies). My grandma and her sister got the J&J shot this last week... so my kiddos great gram will be able to hang out with them soon.

Taking the evening off. A day post Pfizer shot and I'm (for the lack of a better word) shot. Once my boys are asleep, I expect I will crash.

I'll be on later today. My kiddos have spring break and the weather is finally nice. And all the grand/great-grandparents are vaxxed completely and begging to see my little anarchists.
I'll have a welcome post up soon, as well as a map + elevations for the plateaus - details that I provided in message last night... but need to be out for everyone to see.
I also have an item or two to brew and a new PC to scan over.

I had a bit of a back spasm today. I meant to be on earlier, but I've been laid out in between the usual family routine.
I could not help but laugh at Remie's recounting of his earlier quest. The other fae was named Lacuna.
He would also have heard Wyan and Gallard's names at one point, but probably does not understand the connection of Nibenay to Gallard (he might, but I can't recall).
I'll post shortly.

The next few days are going to be odd. I have the kids going back to school after a heavy sugar rush/spoiling. Monday I have people to do furnace/AC maintenance. And Tuesday I get my second and final covid shot kinda early. I'm not sure how tapped in I'll be. Pretty much depends on how I react to the shot. I got my allergy shots this Friday and they hit a bit harder than usual, so I'm a tad wary.

I have been having some very heavy allergy attacks the last 24 hours. Not sure if it's the bloom going on outside or the dust in my condo... either way it's lose-lose at the moment. I didn't sleep much and my kids sensed that I'm not up to speed and have been making my day difficult. Apologies for my lack of focus the last bit.
