Crystal Focus requires 2 hours of meditation. No false bottoms are found or further traps on the box itself (but this is great thinking, I feel a bit proud at the moment). Which of the two points of interest on the walls are you looking at first? Squarish shape or bordering the tile room? I assume Mak begins his sweep of the floors now... He'll detect something living on the first floor down in an area unexplored to the right of the secret passage that you could see out the arrow slits. Going to assume you don't go to check it out in detail for the moment. The little druid will also hear grunts from below and outside the tower as he does his rounds. It takes some time to figure out, but after some prying you discover the "building" was simply a wooden box concealed in the fresco and painted over. No traps are detected. The lid is lifted revealing... A broken stone tusk, perhaps matching the broken statue in the room behind you, a tiger's eye amulet with a wire tree motif - that radiates magic, darksunsouthtablelands.obsidianportal.com/items/tiger-s-eye-amuletand a soft tan pouch containing one extremely large tarnished coin with a square hole in the center the size of a human's palm (the coin that is, the hole is smaller). Writing in a language unknown to you runs about the square hole on both sides of the coin. |

Will inform folks of the single life detected at the 1st floor. Then will head to the roof to peak over the edge to see what is outside of the tower grunting.

Laakh will wrap the bracelet in his pack unless anyone wants to examine it. "Will ponder this when we're in a safer place. It seems Aman is trying to split us up. I will watch over Mak's rooftop scouting. Maybe scavengers drawn to the -uh body. We stay together, move together. Kleys, lead the way to the other magic on that wall."
He will Clairvoyance looking down on the roof from 20 feet.

For as soon as Kleys touches the wall? He simply vanishes in a flash of blue light.

When Kleys vanishes Mak will focus on the Detect Life spell once more to see if he's elsewhere on this floor. If not, he'll move up and down the stairs in this tower scanning.

No other life detected on this level. There has been no other "down" floor discovered from here so far... Kleys will get a private message later tomorrow. OOC: I'm offline until I touch down and get reset in LA tomorrow. Adam and I can message - probably later in the day. It's a good time for a little tension.  |

Since there's mental communication? I'll post what Kleys sees here before you make your decisions.
You stand alone in a dry, smooth stone corridor. The floor is littered with bones, yellowed and humanoid as far as you can tell.
Small stone blocks line the hall like trophy mounts or mini mantles, a bit above human waist level (and a tad below that for an elf like Kleys).
There is a wall directly behind you and the corridor simply goes on for thirty feet or so before it dead ends.
No exit or entrance is seen.
