Mak will cast "Locate Object" (3rd Lv Spell, 140 yard range) focusing on Kleys Blasting Rod that he had inspected just a day or two ago.
"Anyone else have thoughts as to how we find our wayward elf?"
((Mak 42/42hp, AC 6, Spells Remaining: 1st: 4/6 2nd: 4/5 3rd: 3/5 4th: 0/3))

"Anyone else have thoughts as to how we find our wayward elf?" "We all touch the same spot on the wall at the same time?" Yiska shrugs

"Since mental contact established that he's still alive, might as well. Though then our goal becomes figuring out how to get out of this place," says Pallia.

- And who is telling us that whenever Kleys is, is not a trap? I mean, I would rather prefer to find another way to get to him than going this way. We all know what this place is capable of.. - Kem replies to Yishka

<Maybe wait. Lots of bones, might be no way out.>
Detect Magic.
Search EVERYTHING, mostly for secret catches, doors, etc. Also Traps (22/75% - success).
hp: 20/24; AC: 3 (Armor cast – lasts 10 of 14 hp) Spells per Day/Level Detect Magic – 3/day. 1st – 1/day, 2nd – 1/day, 3rd – 2/day. PSP: 41

Kleys' rod is somewhere below you and to the east... perhaps some 12 feet down and 40 feet east-ward.
There's magic everywhere, the walls radiate transmutation and enchantment.
Traps? Easy enough, no need for a roll... ...as the odd ledges on the walls sprout stone arms and hands that reach out to grab the poor wizard.
Luckily? The two closest to him miss.

Oh, magic traps, eh?
Remove (or at least disable for 1d4+2 = 3 rounds) Traps: 58 & 26 / 85% - success for the 1-2 closest.

"Disarming" an arm is beyond foiling a trap at this point.
Yes, it was technically a trap.
But they had reach, so-to-speak. A blanket dispel might work. Or some other type of destructive dweomer.
I'll let you reconsider this round's reaction and hold off on their next attacks though.

Mak shares the information on Kley's location. "12 feet down and 40 feet east-ward." Mak points in the direction. "How do we get there the fastest? I'll pop a Find Traps spell so we get there unmolested."

Yiska says with trepidation "Abez and I will take up the rear..."
