As you approach the entrance, which faces west, you notice a few key details. The base of the squat building is very much smaller than the tower, perhaps some 30' square. Grey-green vines overpower weeds in the immediate area - more to the rear of the stumpy structure. Bones of all sorts litter the sandy dirt.
The vegetation nearby was at some point in the past affected by defiling. A semi-circular patch of dead earth is centered by the large, almost cyclopean double doors.
Both doors were once barred, with the large wooden bar set slightly off to the left side of the stone frame. Currently the double doors are slightly open, with about a 2-3 foot clearance. You can see stairs leading down into the dark. It looks like there is another set of doors some twenty feet below.
The western wind whistles a light howl.

Chat'cho the Kes'trekel wanders on up, without a care in the world. She peeks inside, trying to find any sort of hidden details.

You can see that the doors at the bottom appear to be some type of metal, perhaps bronze. The stairs widen closer to the bottom. Two statues stand to either side of the bronze doors, one in hood and robes and the other as tall as an elf, carrying a long sword in their right hand. Both face away from you. Various leering faces are carved into the doors themselves. One looks like a lizard with it's mouth open and eyes shut, like either mid bite or in an open roar.

The Kes'trekel goes to perch on top of the wizard statue's head. She turns about and waits for the others to approach.

You seemingly appear to be safe.

From this vantage, you can see an obsidian knife in the mouth of the lizard.
The statue you squat on has it's right arm extended slightly as if reaching for the door.

Chat'cho goes to check what quality the statues are. Do they appear perfectly life-like? Are they on a pedestal or dais of any kind? Does it look like they were built here, or are they previous explorers that fell victim to a petrification trap?

No pedestal, very fine work. Perhaps 'Muiko has a better read on how well done they are artistically. As a kreen it's beyond what your kind work in stone. They could have been transported here from elsewhere, but with out a stand? They look balanced well.
When in the realm of wizards though, anything is possible.

Chat'cho suspects a Petrification trap. She casts a Find Traps spell, aiming it at the doors first, then the statue, then the floor in front of it.

Door radiates as a trap. Statues and stairs? No.

Chat'cho gestures at the doors. "That entire thing is a tra*."

Quila casts a Know Age on the statue Chat’cho was just sitting on.

Know Age reveals the hooded "wizard" to be 32 years old and the elf to be 38 years old.
The door is obviously trapped, as Chat's spell reveals it as such. The only confirmation the tari can give is that it feels off, the way the two figures are looking gives them a direct line of sight to the center of the doorway, where the lizard's face sits.
Detect magic reveals the entire physical structure of the tomb to radiate magic. Abjuration & alteration seem to be the most prevalent. Alteration a tad more focused on the actual door and doorway.
Enchanting a weapon over a turn can be done. Not like the door is going anywhere.
If attempt a dispel, tell me if there's anything else you wish to attempt first of individual actions you'd like to take.

- Skrye looks around for any Trail of a rat or similar rodent in the area, as these are common in these type of emplacements, although this is not a regular location, although was Celik? No, neither - "I could try to dispel the trap, then I can try to remove it unless other ideas are brought upfront.." - looking behind her to check if she was leaving tracks behind
